  15.   I have a friend who has a Generic 14.4 modem, which he can get to run 
  16. at a speed of 16.8 through the use of a "tweaked out" init string...  I
  17. am looking to do the same thing, and if anyone could please send me info
  18. on init strings for GVC modems (i have a 14.4 ext, v.42bis/MNP5), it 
  19. would be greatly appreciated.
